Hierodeacon Pavel, a resident of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, called on the believers of the UOC to come to the defense of the monastery on July 6, 2023. The monk's appeal was published by the Miryany Telegram channel.
In his appeal, he stated that according to his information, on July 6, the commission of the Ministry of Culture plans to seize some buildings of the monastery with the help of security forces and "red berets".
“The police want tomorrow to take our buildings from us in a raider way with the help of ‘red berets’ and other representatives of law and order. I call on all believers to take part in the defense of their Orthodox shrine,” he said.
As the UOJ reported, MP Artem Dmytruk commented on the unsuccessful attempt by the commission of the Ministry of Culture to seal the buildings of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
