Europe cannot be built in the region without "army, language, faith", says "Metropolitan of Ivano-Frankivsk and Galicia" of the OCU Ioasaf Vasilikiv.

He stated this, welcoming representatives and candidates from Petro Poroshenko’s Party "European Solidarity", for the elections to the Ivano-Frankivsk regional council and regional bodies of local self-government at all levels.

“Language makes a nation. No language, no nation. The army protects the borders of our state and protects the homeland, so that the Ukrainian people work in peace, develop and establish their native land. We will be able to build Europe in our community provided we have three components: faith, language, army,” the OCU representative was quoted on the website of the Ivano-Frankivsk “ES” branch.

Note that Vladimir Viatrovich, former director of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance and an ardent opponent of the UOC, is running for a seat on the Ivano-Frankivsk regional council from Eurosolidarity.

As the UOJ reported, on the eve of the local elections in Ukraine, the "priests" of the OCU openly campaign for Poroshenko's Party.
