On October 4, in Halynivka village, Volyn region, aggressively minded adherents of the OCU tried to take over the UOC temple in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh, reports "First Cossack".
After the Sunday Liturgy, a group of supporters of the schismatic structure gathered near the church.
The representatives of the OCU first cut the tires on the cars of the priests of the UOC, after which they broke into the temple.
Two priests of the UOC remained in the altar and did not allow intruders to enter the most holy place of the church.
As reported by the UOJ, supporters of the OCU tried to hold a gathering near the church in Halynivka for transferring the parish to the unrecognized “church”, but permanent members of the UOC community did not take part in this meeting.
