People's Deputy of Ukraine Artem Dmytruk commented on his Telegram channel the message about the hospitalisation of Metropolitan Longin of Bancheni with a stroke as a result of persecution by the Ukrainian authorities.

"We ask God to admonish the people who persecute this holy man. People who put him before a choice: renunciation of faith or prison. They don't realise that he made the choice while still at the tonsure. Every true believer is more concerned with responsibility before the Lord, not before the investigator and the judge," he wrote.

The MP also addressed those who give commands to persecute the believers of the UOC.

According to him, "many have already gone this way, but it did not end well for anyone".

As reported, Metropolitan Longin of Bancheni suffered a severe stroke.
