On the morning of October 11, 2020, in the village of Uspenka of the Onufriivka district, Kirovohrad region, supporters of the OCU stepped up their actions to seize the Holy Dormition Church of the UOC, reports the "1 Kozak" channel.

According to the resource, the OCU activists, who have been preparing for the next raider seizure for several months, have already entered the church.

As the UOJ learned from its own sources, at present, supporters of the OCU have gathered in large numbers on the parish territory. They intend to get the keys to the temple. A large number of law enforcement officials are also present on the territory.

The basis for such actions was the decision of the Economic Court of the Kirovohrad region of October 7, 2020, which recognized the UOC temple in Uspenka for the OCU community. At the same time, the registration of the OCU community in Uspenka was carried out with a number of violations of the law.

We recall that the parish of the UOC in Uspenka was opened in 1997 and until 2008, when the Orthodox community built a permanent church, divine services were held in a suitable room. Attempts to seize the Holy Dormition Church of the UOC began in December 2019. Supporters of the OCU tried to carry out illegal re-registration of the religious community, staged provocations near the church, etc. In addition, video reports and interviews with local adherents of the OCU appeared in the media, inciting hatred towards the believers of the UOC.
