Rada dismisses Tkachenko from the post of Minister of Culture

On July 27, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada MPs dismissed Oleksandr Tkachenko from the post of Minister of Culture of Ukraine. MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak from Holos party wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

321 MPs voted for the relevant decision, 2 MPs voted against it, and 6 abstained from voting.

Before the voting took place, Tkachenko addressed the deputies in the parliament hall and spoke about the work performed by the Ministry of Culture from 2020 to 2023.

As reported by the UOJ, the head of the Ministry of Culture Tkachenko had submitted his resignation.

We also wrote that Tkachenko presented a report on the work of the Ministry of Culture regarding the "de-occupation" of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
