Mykhailo Nyskohuz, a priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church from the city of Chervonohrad, Lviv region, wrote an open letter to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and representatives of the “Servant of the People” party, in which he stated that they were trying to give Ukraine into “Putin's arms”. The cleric of the UGCC wrote about this on his Facebook page.
At the beginning of his address, the priest of the UGCC quoted the Ukrainian historian Mikhail Hrushevsky, who said that "the biggest tragedy of Ukraine is that it is ruled by those who do not like it at all".
According to Nyskohuz, “in the sixth year of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine is undergoing a very difficult test by President Zelensky and his party of “green servants” who were appointed to us in Moscow to destroy Ukrainian statehood, and who are gradually, step by step, under the peaceful calls to end the war, are trying to finally give Ukraine into ‘Putin's arms’".
The Uniate priest is sure that “it was the pro-Moscow oligarchs who, with the help of their media resources, brought to the post of commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army a man who was not prepared and clearly not of the Cossack spirit. And this is during the war!"
In his opinion, "every day of the activity of the green government headed by Mr Zelensky proves to us that they are purposefully leading Ukraine to complete surrender to Moscow".
He also recalled that “Stepan Bandera emphasized that a tree is known by its fruit, and the factors of political life – by deeds. If the authorities become a criminal, then all citizens can become a judge, which has happened in our history quite recently”.
The representative of the UGCC also said that “Dante Alighieri, in his immortal work, defines the future hot place in hell for those who remain neutral and silent during the hard times for the people. So, Vladimir Alexandrovich, it is you who are silent and watch the main henchman of your pro-Moscow administration, Yermak, together with the communists Fokin and Kravchuk, surrendering Ukraine to Putin without a fight”.
“It is you who took a neutral position and cannot call Russia an aggressor, and Putin – a criminal, forbidding the Ukrainian army to defend Ukrainian land. What are you – the President of Ukraine or a servant of Putin?" asks the Uniate priest.
As reported earlier, the UGCC head Sviatoslav Shevchuk found it very dangerous to talk about the need to end the war at any cost.
