In her Telegram channel, Anna Maliar commented on the wave of criticism regarding the appointment of Sarah Ashton-Chirillo (formerly known as Michael Ashton-Chirillo) as the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Maliar, Ashton-Chirillo has a large audience in the USA and therefore, he will "objectively cover events of the Russian-Ukrainian War."

Thus, as Maliar wrote, she "understands" why "hostile social media" have become so agitated with hate. In her opinion, in this case, this hate is "useful".

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that a transgender from the United States had become the face of the Ukrainian Armed Forces media project for Western countries.
