Zelensky meets with Metropolitan Emmanuel of Phanar

On August 10, 2023, Volodymyr Zelensky received Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon from the Church of Constantinople in Kyiv. Zelensky's press service posted the video of the meeting on the President's telegram channel.
“During our conversation today, we paid attention to the spiritual independence of our country. We discussed the Ukrainian formula for peace, as well as the issue of returning children illegally deported from Ukraine,” the channel said in a text message.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, the head of the State Ethnopolitics Viktor Yelensky, and the deputy head of the Presidential Office Andriy Sibiga.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Metropolitan Emmanuel met with Serhiy Dumenko and visited the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
