Students of KTAS prayerfully honour memory of Kyiv liberators

On November 6, 2020, with the blessing of the rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary, Bishop Sylvester of Belogorodka, students of the KTAS took part in an event dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Kyiv from German invaders, reports the press service of the KTAS.
Archpriest Viacheslav Yakovenko, Deputy Chairman of the UOC Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Other Military Formations of Ukraine, held a litia for all the dead and deceased defenders of the Motherland at the Eternal Flame on the Alley of Fallen Heroes in the capital's Park of Eternal Glory.
After the service, as a sign of respect for the fallen liberators of Kyiv, those present laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
As the UOJ reported, at the anniversary of the beginning of the shelling of Horlivka, Metropolitan Mitrofan of Horlivka and Slaviansk performed a memorial service at the memorial to the dead civilians.
