Church and UOC eparchy office hit by missile attack in Kryvyi Rih

On 8 September 2023, in Kryvyi Rih, St. Nicholas’s Church and the building of the eparchial administration of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were damaged as a result of a missile strike by the Russian army, reports the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The blast wave blew out windows and damaged building facades, entrance and interior doors and elements of interior decoration.

The message notes St. Nicholas’s Church "is located in the spiritual and historical centre of Kryvyi Rih and is a direct heir to the first Kryvyi Rih temple, which was founded by the holy righteous ataman Peter Kalnyshevsky".

As reported, a 200-year-old temple of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church was severely damaged as a result of a missile attack on the village of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Donetsk region.
