“Archbishop” of the “True Orthodox Church of the Russian Federation” Volodymyr Hordienko held a “prayer service” for activists of the OCU near the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. Footage from the prayer service was published on the Pershy Kozatsky Telegram channel.
According to the Lavra Now Telegram channel, Volodymyr Hordienko was a cleric of the UOC, but he was banned from the priesthood and defrocked for his anti-canonical acts back in 1997.
Soon the man became a priest of the UGCC, calling himself a graduate of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. After being expelled from the UGCC, the man joined the “True Orthodox Church” under the jurisdiction of “Metropolitan of Moscow and All-Russia” Raphael (Prokopyev).
After being expelled from the “True Orthodox Church,” Hordienko created his own “True Orthodox Church – the Slobozhanskе Archdiocese” and ordained himself to the rank of “Archbishop of Slobozhanskе, Metropolitan of the True Orthodox Church.”
As the UOJ reported, the magician Belial, who supports the OCU, held a “funeral service for the UOC-MP” near the Lavra.
