On 10 October 2023, Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei denied Iranian involvement in the Hamas attack on Israel, adding: "Of course, we defend Palestine, we defend the struggles," reports ‘The Time of Israel’.
"We pay tribute to the minds and efforts of resourceful, intelligent instructors and the brave youth of Palestine. We are proud of them. This is true," said Ali Khamenei, and added that "the entire Islamic world must support the Palestinians, and God willing, it will support them."
"Brave young people, active, dedicated Palestinians were able to create this epic. And God willing, this epic will be a big step towards the salvation of Palestine," the Iranian spiritual leader concluded.
As earlier reported, the Taliban asked Islamic countries for passage to Israel to take Jerusalem.
