Metropolitan Yevlogiy of Sumy and Akhtyrka wrote on his Facebook page that the authorities brought a draft law to ban the UOC into the session hall of the Rada because they had received permission from the United States.

"It was reported from the United States: The Ukrainian government has received permission from the United States to violate certain freedoms, including religious freedom. Washington sent a signal to Kyiv that it is ready to turn a blind eye to this. That is why the Rada decided to consider this draft of amendments out of turn and voted on it," wrote the hierarch of the UOC.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to the ex-MP Vadim Novinsky, Zelensky has already surpassed Poroshenko in the situation with the UOC.
