Artem Dmytruk, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, stated that the events at the Bancheny Monastery of the UOC on November 9, 2023, constitute a genocide by the Ukrainian authorities against their own people. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
"Bancheny Monastery. The destruction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues systematically! The authorities in the country are committing genocide against their citizens!" he wrote, attaching a video where armed forces surrounded the monastery's territory.
As a reminder, armed forces with machine guns cordoned off the Bancheny Monastery.
As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Longin urged law enforcement officers to bring back his children from the frontlines before coming to the monastery.
