The Telegram channel "Dozor on 'Pershy Kozatsky'" published the video and reported the details of the raider seizure of the St. Michael's church of the UOC in the village of Borodianka in the Kyiv region.
The seizure took place on the eve of the patronal feast of the church, November 20. Around 4 a.m., a group of people in military uniforms arrived at the church under the leadership of OCU clergy. Many police officers accompanied them.
Believers who were praying in their sanctuary at that time went out to meet the raiders. The arrivals refused to introduce themselves, did not show any documents. They began to push the parishioners, including women, off the porch and started cutting the locks on three church doors. The stormtroopers acted under police cover. They used foul language, and some of them smelled of alcohol.
With shouts of "Glory to the nation!" the raiders burst into the church. They claimed that church property belonged to the religious community of the OCU and tried to prevent parishioners from taking icons and other holy objects from the church.
As reported by the UOJ, on November 21, on the patronal feast of the seized St. Michael's church, the church door was closed and sealed, while the UOC parishioners were forced to pray in a small room on the church complex.
