The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Natalya Korolevskaay said this in a commentary for the “1Kozak” TV channel that the interference of politics in church issues of the current government, started by Petro Poroshenko during the presidential campaign, should be stopped since the Church is the foundation of the country's peace and success.
As reported, Zelensky considers actions against the UOC permissible, Ruslan Bortnik believes.
“At his time, Poroshenko brought the Church into politics and he did his presidential campaign on this,” said Korolevskaya. “He opened Pandora's box, which today many are also trying to use for their own purposes. And therefore, the task of the authorities is, first of all, to separate politics from the Church." The deputy believes that the non-interference of the authorities in church issues will accelerate the onset of peace in Ukraine, including in the Donbass, and will also help restore confidence in the authorities.
