OCU activists are planning to hold raid meetings in three settlements of the Bucha district, Kyiv region, on 17 and 18 February 2024 to transfer four churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church into their structure, reports the Telegram channel "Dozor_Kozak1".
Raiders published announcements made on the same template in social networks, in which they call on their supporters to come with passports to meetings to "drive away enemies".
On 17 February, the activists intend to transfer the churches of Great Martyr Paraskeva in the village of Druzhnya and Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki in the village of Pylypovychi to the OCU, and on 18 February – the Churches of St Elijah and St. Demetrius of Rostov in the village of Makariv.
In Makariv and Pylypovychi, raiding events will be held in local houses of culture, while in Druzhnia - on the premises of the village council.
According to the Telegram channel, the meetings are being organised by local OCU cleric Dmytro Koshka and former official and businessman Serhiy Voznyy.
As reported, earlier Dumenko’s associates used the same announcements to call their supporters to vote on the "transition" to the OCU of two UOC churches in the village of Kotsiubinske, Bucha district.
As reported, the rector of the St Demetrius Church of the UOC in Pylypovychi, Archpriest Borys Kovalchuk, won the contest "People who Impressed us with Fortress and Thirst for Recovery" organised by the media project "Nezlamni.CITY". During the fighting in the Kyiv region in 2022, Father Boris led four convoys of cars with civilians (about 1,500 people) out of the shelling zone and delivered humanitarian aid to the village.
