In Ukraine, there are not enough specialists to prepare projects for the restoration or conservation and emergency repair work of destroyed cultural objects. This was stated by the Acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandeyev during the International Forum "Creative Ukraine" 2024, Ukrinform writes.
Karandeyev lamented that they have "none" or "not enough" specialists in the restoration sphere to engage in the restoration of cultural heritage objects destroyed by Russian forces.
He shared that the ministry had decided to start training such specialists now and allegedly is already implementing new educational programs in a wide range of educational institutions.
To date, in Ukraine, 1946 cultural infrastructure objects have suffered damage or destruction due to full-scale Russian aggression. Among them, there is a large number of UOC churches.
As reported by the UOJ, an unusual church is being built in Artsyz during the war.
