Courts to consider UOC believer’s lawsuit and Fr Sergiy Chertylin’s appeal

On April 8, 2024, two court hearings will take place: one regarding a lawsuit filed by a UOC believer about being denied entry to the territory of the Lower Lavra and the other regarding an appeal related to the detention of Archpriest Sergiy Chertylin. This was announced by the UOC lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, in his Telegram channel.

The lawyer stated that the hearing for the lawsuit filed by the believer regarding her denial of entry to the Lower Lavra will begin at 12:00 in the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv, located at 15 Volodymyrska Street.

At 14:20, a hearing on the appeal filed by Archpriest Sergiy Chertylin will take place at the Kyiv Court of Appeal, located at 2-A Solomenska Street.

"We ask for holy prayers and support!" the message says.

As the UOJ reported, the court remanded Father Sergiy Chertylin in custody for two months.
