The LGBT community decided to support Serhiy Zhadan and Khrystyna Soloviy, who became embroiled in a scandal after the release of their music video, where two girls kiss in the UGCC church, as reported by the Rayon publication.

The LGBT community reps say that the flash mob, in which same-sex couples post their photos with kisses in the church, is aimed at demonstrating all manifestations of love.

"We call on all gay couples to come to St. Andrew's Church and kiss – thus reminding those who conduct their rituals there that they are not able to condemn and punish for love," Viktor Pylypenko noted in his message.

He also wrote that he was not allowed inside the church and promised to kiss in the church next time.

The UGCC stated that the scandalous video of Zhadan and Soloviy should be removed from the Internet, and also suspended the rector of St. Andrew's Church in Lviv from performing his duties. The LGBT flash mob there has not been commented on yet.

As reported by the UOJ, earlier five soldiers and volunteers refused their awards from the UOC-KP in solidarity with the military and openly gay Viktor Pylypenko, from whom Filaret took away the medal after learning about his sexual orientation.
