In the evening of May 6th in Kyiv, believers gathered at the Tithe (Desiatynna) Church for a prayer vigil to prevent unlawful actions and pray for peace on our land.

They marched in a procession before the night liturgy at the Volodymyr-Olha Cathedral of the Tithe Monastery, and the service lasted all night.

In the morning, it appeared that the dismantling, which the authorities had planned for May 7th morning, was postponed "for technical reasons", and the new dates have not been announced yet.

However, information appeared in the media controlled by the authorities, suggesting that the organizers of the gathering at the Tithe Church knew about this in advance but called the believers to give the "necessary picture".

"Tomorrow is Putin's 'inauguration'. De facto, there will be a pro-Putin rally near the foundations of Desiatynna. They will pray for Putin. And the background will be provided for Putin. By the start of the 'inauguration', the picture will be ready," wrote Alexey Kopytko on his Facebook page.

In the morning, representatives of Channel 5 approached the Tithe Church. Believers fear that their presence may lead to provocations with stooges.

As reported by the UOJ, the lawyers of the UOC are trying to stop the demolition of the Tithe Church.
