Believers of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church staged a protest near the Holy Synod building against hierarchs who co-served with representatives of the OCU at the Phanar.

A video posted on the YouTube channel "Orthodox Video Channel HRAM Sonya Ankova" shows believers of the Bulgarian Church expressing outrage at the actions of Metropolitan Nikolay of Plovdiv, Metropolitan Kyprian of Stara Zagora, and Metropolitan Yakov of Dorostol, who co-served at the Phanar with Eustratius Zorya and Abraham Lotysh.

According to laypeople of the Bulgarian Church, the mentioned hierarchs violated the canons, and therefore, believers demand the convocation of a nationwide Council of the BOC.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that representatives of the Bulgarian Church co-served with "hierarchs" of the OCU in Istanbul.
