The Public Union "Miriane", created by the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, appealed to the Lviv Regional State Administration with a request to dismiss the head of the department of religions and nationalities of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the OCU, propagandist Dmitry Gorevoy due to his inconsistency with the position of a civil servant. This is stated in the appeal to the Regional State Administration published on the “Miriane” page on Facebook.
It is noted that Gorevoy systematically takes part in acts of discrimination and persecution of the UOC, discredits and disseminates false information about the Church, forms a negative attitude towards the Church in Ukrainian society. "Being the head of the department of religions and nationalities of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Regional State Administration, D. Gorevoy continues to record and host the programs of the ‘DetectorUA’ YouTube channel, the content of which violates the equality of citizens based on their religious beliefs," Miriane notes.
In this regard, the public union asks the head of the Department for Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Regional State Administration Irina Gavrilyuk and Lviv Governor Maksim Kozitsky to dismiss Gorevoy and inform the Miriane about the above decision in writing.
As the UOJ reported, the OCU propagandist spoke about the obstruction of the UOC as a state official.
