On July 5, a 40-kilometer procession began in the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC from Chernivtsi to the St. John the Theologian Khreshchatyk Monastery, the diocese's Facebook page reported.

Before leaving for the procession, at 6 o'clock in the morning, the faithful with the clergy performed a prayer service near the church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos.

Thousands of parishioners of the UOC gathered for the prayer. They will cover 40 kilometers in one day and today arrive at the Khreshchatyk Monastery in the Zastavna district of the Chernivtsi region.

As reported by the UOJ, the political expert explained why the processions of the UOC and the OCU are so different.
