Due to a heart attack suffered by Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, the court hearing in his case scheduled for July 9th has been postponed, reports Suspilne.
The Metropolitan's lawyer presented a medical certificate indicating his health condition and stated that he is currently being prepared for hospitalization.
Outside the Sosnivsky Court building in Cherkasy, where the hearing was supposed to take place, about 30 activists gathered with placards, declaring their intention to influence the judicial process.
Earlier in March 2024, the head of the Cherkasy Eparchy also had a heart attack.
As previously reported by the UOJ, the Cherkasy Eparchy showed a video of another action by radicals who organized harassment of believers of the UOC having come to support Metropolitan Theodosiy in court on June 27.
