On July 19, about 200 parishioners of the Moldovan Orthodox Church, with the blessing of Metropolitan Vladimir of Chișinău and All Moldova, held a religious procession that lasted about 10 hours to pray for peace and draw attention to the persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Orthodox journalists, reports the KozakTv1 Telegram channel.
It is reported that the participants walked more than 40 km, ending the prayer procession near the Ukrainian embassy in Chișinău, where the Orthodox held a prayer standing and demanded an end to the violations of believers' rights in Ukraine. The Orthodox of Moldova also specifically mentioned the arrest of journalists Valery Stupnitsky, Andriy Ovcharenko, Volodymyr Bobecko and Father Serhiy Chertylin.
They also called for God's help in the churches of Chișinău, namely: of St. John the Baptist, Prophet Daniel, Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Stylianos, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. Matrona of Moscow.
As reported by the UOJ, hundreds of people rallied in Bucharest in support of Metropolitan Longin.
