From July 29 to July 31, 2021, with the blessing of Metropolitan Bartholomew of Rivne and Ostroh, a procession will be held from Zdolbuniv to the Holy Dormition Pochaiv Lavra to commemorate the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God, the Rivne Eparchy reports on its Facebook page.
On July 29, before the beginning of the procession, the vigil will be served at 2 am at St. Catherine's Church of the UOC in Zdolbuniv, after which the pilgrims will set off at about 5 am.
During the cross procession, 2 overnight stops are planned – in Dubno and Onyshkivtsi. Arrival at Pochaiv Lavra, where pilgrims can stay overnight, will take place on the evening of July 31. The celebrations of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God will be held on August 5.
The organizers of the procession note that comfortable shoes, a raincoat, hygiene products, a first-aid kit, and a spare set of clothes are required to make a multi-day pilgrimage. For questions of organization, you can call Archpriest Alexander on tel. 0976723201 and 0502025532.
