Court suspends investigator in UOJ case

On September 9, 2024 the judge of the Solomiansky district court ruled to suspend the SBU investigator Oleh Savenko from conducting a pre-trial investigation in the case of Orthodox journalists and priest of the UOC Archpriest Serhiy Chertylin. It was reported on his Telegram-channel by UOC lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman.
Judge I. Teslenko granted the motion of the defense and suspended the investigator Oleh Savenko in the UOJ case.
“Thank you for the lawful and fair decision of the court,” wrote Priest Nikita Chekman.
It is noted that the decision is not subject to appeal. The full text of the ruling will be published on September 13.
As the UOJ wrote, on August 16, Archpriest Serhiy Chertylin was released on bail.
