In Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, around 10:00 AM today, a fire broke out as a result of a Russian attack, completely destroying the church dedicated to the Icon of the Mother of God "The Sign".
Eyewitnesses reported to the UOJ that the church was hit during the Divine Liturgy. However, the service was luckily being held in the small church, which is what saved the parishioners. According to the reports, there are no casualties, but the shrine is completely ruined – only the walls of the church survived in the shelling.
As previously reported, this same church was damaged during military actions in August 2022.
