Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople said that the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church who do not consider the "autocephaly" of the OCU canonical simply "refuse to accept reality", reports Ukrinform.
When the Ukrinform journalist asked what Patriarch Bartholomew would say to the believers of the UOC who are convinced that the OCU has non-canonical, wrong autocephaly, the head of the Phanar replied that “the problem of these people is that it is difficult for them to accept reality, or they refuse to acknowledge it".
The Patriarch of Constantinople is sure that those who oppose the “autocephaly” of the OCU are “ignorant of what autocephaly means” and do not understand anything about the history and canonical practice of granting it.
As reported, Zelensky told the Phanar head that there is interfaith peace in Ukraine.
