Tomorrow, November 19, with the blessing of Metropolitan Agafangel of Odesa and Izmail, memorial services will be held in all churches and monasteries of the Odesa Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), the diocesan press service reports.

Prayers will be offered for the repose of all those who perished and for the speedy recovery and healing of those injured during the Russian missile strike on Odesa on November 18.

Additionally, the ruling bishop has recommended that clergy participate in the funerals of the victims and, if necessary, have religious communities cover the costs associated with the burial rites. On behalf of Metropolitan Agafangel and all the faithful of the Odesa Eparchy, condolences will be extended to the families of the deceased.

The UOC Eparchy has also provided a hotline for those in need of assistance due to the attacks: 0936150820 (available on Viber, WhatsApp, and Telegram).

On November 18, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack on Odesa. The strike on a densely populated area of the city resulted in 10 fatalities and over 40 injuries.

As reported, a miraculous icon of St. Nectarios of Aegina was recently brought to the Odesa Eparchy from Greece.

Previously, Metropolitan Yevlogy expressed condolences to those affected by shelling in Sumy.
