In the Cherkasy Cathedral, which was previously seized by the OCU, a display case with a "historical relic" – a "copy of the Tomos of Autocephaly of the OCU" – was set up. However, this document contains errors. Deacon Andriy Hlushchenko of the UOC noticed that this "copy" is simply a printed text of the Ukrainian translation of the original document, which was handwritten in Greek.
The deacon also pointed out mistakes in the printed text, including the absence of apostrophes, the replacement of the Ukrainian letter "є" with "е", as well as other orthographic and stylistic mistakes, such as «Варфоломій Архіпископ» (instead of АрхіЄпископ – Ed.) и «спадкомство» (instead of спадкоЄмство – Ed.), «Украна» (instead of УкраЇна – Ed).. He rhetorically questioned why this document is treated by the OCU as an object of worship and expressed doubts about its status as a "sacred relic".
As reported by the UOJ, in Cherkasy, the OCU invites visitors to view a copy of the Tomos of Autocephaly at St. Michael’s Cathedral, seized from the UOC. The cathedral's Facebook page states that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church does not have such a Tomos.
