RCC to open Christotherapy Centre in Kyiv

On 6 December 2024, a solemn pilgrimage Eucharist and the opening of a new “Christotherapy Centre” will take place at Kyiv's St Nicholas Church, the website of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine reports.

The purpose of the new Christian project is stated as “spiritual healing of people through God's word, prayer, sacraments and spiritual conversion”. It is reported that the centre was created to support those who are in particular need of help in war.

The rector of the parish Pavlo Vyshkovsky said: ‘We have been going through hard times of war for three years already, and we cannot ignore its impact on our people. They need not only material support but also spiritual hope. As the Church we cannot remain on the sidelines. Our patron saint St Nicholas teaches us to do good deeds, especially in times of trial.”

As previously reported, Dzidzio sang in the Vatican at the service of the RCC.
