DESS names the number of parishes that transitioned from UOC to OCU in 2024

In 2024, 218 religious parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) transitioned to the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). This data was provided by the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience in response to a request from the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
According to the agency's information, since the creation of the OCU in 2018, the following changes in canonical and organizational affiliation have occurred:
- In 2018: 2 religious parishes;
 - In 2019: 319 parishes;
 - In 2020: 30 parishes;
 - In 2021: 25 parishes;
 - In 2022: 496 parishes;
 - In 2023: 471 parishes;
 - In 2024 (as of December 23): 218 parishes.
 
The State Service for Ethnopolitics also added that they do not have data on the number of dissolved religious organizations of the UOC.
As reported by the UOJ, the State Service for Ethnopolitics disclosed how many UOC parishes transitioned to the OCU since 2018.
