Biden praises Pat Bartholomew for his fraternal relationship with the Pope

On November 8, 2021, during a telephone conversation, US President Joe Biden praised Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople for his "fraternal" relationship with Pope Francis, according to the Greek newspaper Vima Orthodoxias.
US President Joe Biden personally called Patriarch Bartholomew to inquire about his health. During the telephone conversation, Biden said that after meeting with Patriarch Bartholomew, he went to the Vatican, where he met with the Pope.
Joe Biden said that there is a photograph of Patriarch Bartholomew with Pope Francis in the office of the Roman pontiff, on his desk. According to the US president, he "was glad to see a very fraternal relationship between the two religious leaders."
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to political expert Andrei Zolotarev, the head of Phanar went to the United States to “touch base” before the advancement of the union.
