UOJ Opens Branch in the Czech Republic

April 16, 2025—The European Organization of the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) opened a branch in the Czech Republic, simultaneously launching the UOJ-Czechia website.

The correspondents of the Union of Orthodox Journalists will cover the life of the Orthodox communities of the Czech Church's communities in Prague and other towns and cities across the country. Detailed materials, articles, and interviews will offer direct and objective coverage of all significant events in the local Orthodox community.

The opening of the Czech bureau — following those in Germany, Greece, Albania, Serbia, and the United States — is part of the UOJ’s larger strategic goal of supporting canonical Orthodoxy on an international scale and uniting Orthodox believers from different countries. The Union of Orthodox Journalists is a unique media initiative aimed at bringing together Orthodox faithful around the world and protecting traditional Christian values.

On November 21, 2024, the UOJ registered a new legal entity in Europe and opened branches in Greece, Germany, Albania, Serbia, Bulgaria, the United States, and Mount Athos.
