SITKA — On Thursday, June 19, 2025, Matushka Olga (Michael) of Alaska will be raised to the altars.

The Primatial All-Night Vigil with the Rite of Glorification will be held in Mother Olga’s home village of Kwethluk, Alaska.

The Rite of Glorification will be celebrated by His Beatitude Tikhon, Metropolitan of Washington and All America and Canada, and His Eminence Alexei, Archbishop of Sitka and All Alaska.

A complete schedule for the canonization is available on the OCA’s website.

In anticipation of Matushka Olga’s canonization, the OCA has also published the liturgical music that will be used for her feast (October 27).

Troparion:

God has chosen a humble mother from Alaska
to be an example for all the servants of God;
He has given us Saint Olga as a helper in afflictions
and as a guide to leading a life of sacrificial love.
Therefore, we entreat you, O holy Mother Olga:
pray that we, your sinful children, may be saved
and rejoice with you in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Kontakion:

Guided by the heavenly light and touched by Christ’s rich mercy,
your loving hands heal the wounds of those hurt in the past.
Your soft voice encourages all to remain faithful to God,
for the eternal Lord will give the steadfast a crown of life.
O holy Mother Olga, visit us with love and reassure us,
that we may accept whatever cross we must bear
as chosen by the merciful God and that, through your prayers,
we do the will of God for the salvation of our souls.
