KADUNA — Armed Fulani herdsmen stormed an Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) congregation in the village of Kampani on July 11, killing five Christians and injuring three during a prayer service, according to Christian Daily. The attack, which occurred around 3:30 p.m., is the latest in a wave of violence targeting Christian communities in Kajuru County.

Local Christian leaders report that at least 110 people - mostly from Christian villages - have been kidnapped in the region during the first half of 2025. The attackers, described as Islamist-leaning Fulani militants, have also been blamed for torching churches, destroying homes, and looting property.

According to Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List, Nigeria remains the deadliest country in the world for Christians, accounting for 69% of global faith-based killings last year.

Previously, UOJ's Ukrainian branch (SPZh) reported that Islamists in Nigeria had also killed six residents of a Christian village.
