Amsterdam at NY Young Republicans: Zelensky's War on Orthodoxy
NEW YORK CITY — The New York Young Republican Club has announced an upcoming event with international legal counsel for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Robert Amsterdam. The announcement was posted on the club’s account on X.
The event, titled “Zelensky’s War on Christian Ukraine,” will be held on August 5, allowing the clubs 1,800 members and member of the public to hear the evidence and testimony of the Church's persecution from one of the twenty-first century's foremost human-rights attorneys. The group hopes the event will facilitate discussion on the Ukrainian government's campaign against Orthodox Christians and what it means for the future of religious liberty worldwide.
The club is charging $20 for tickets, which can be purchased on EventBrite.
On May 23, 2025, the New York Young Republican Club released a scathing condemnation of what they called "Zelensky's Spiritual Ethnic Cleansing of Ukraine."
As previously reported by the UOJ, Amsterdam has pledged to use every available means to defend the rights of the faithful of the UOC.
