Ukrainian boxer Vasiliy Lomachenko thanked God after his victory over Ghanaian boxer Richard Commey in New York on December 11, reports vringe.com.

This marks Vasiliy Lomachenko’s 16th win in the professional ring and his second victory in 2021 with two defeats.

"I, first of all, want to thank the Lord who gave me this talent, the chance to be a boxer. Many thanks to my team. Thanks to everyone who supports us," Vasiliy Lomachenko said after the match.

Ahead of the Ukrainian boxer is a fight with current WBA/WBO/IBF titleholder George Kambosos, which will take place in Australia.

"Of course, I will go anywhere. I want this chance and if God gives it to me, I will take it," he added.

Meanwhile, ESPN television boxing analyst and commentator Timothy Bradley, a former world champion in two categories, commenting on the Ukrainian boxer's performance, expressed his dissatisfaction with Vasiliy Lomachenko's mercy to his opponent.

"Fantastic performance. The only thing I didn't like ...you have to honour the fact that he showed humility, but you can't do that in the ring. "You need to stop the fight...". Come on, brother. You need to knock them out. To me, it shows his weakness. Lomachenko has a lot of respect. He's certainly shown too much mercy," Timothy Bradley noted.

In October 2020, Vasiliy Lomachenko lost to Lopez and lost the WBA, WBO and WBC championship belts in the lightweight division.
