Dumenko: OCU wins cases on the transfer of communities "almost 100%"

The head of the OCU, Epifaniy Dumenko, said in an interview with Radio Svoboda that he was counting on a complete victory in the courts on the issue of “re-registration” of communities.
“The situation with the transitions has worsened lately. Because there is a certain pressure, there is a legal struggle in the courts now. Although we win almost 100% all litigations initiated by the Moscow Patriarchate, they try to challenge it. But if a community has made a decision (in favor of the OCU – Ed.), no court can ever prohibit or overturn the decision of that community. If people want to be in the Ukrainian church, they have to enjoy this right, according to the Constitution, Ukrainian laws," Dumenko said.
It is worth recalling that on December 15, the court forbade the Vinnytsia officials to re-register the UOC communities.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that in Chernihiv, the court declared illegal the transfer of the UOC community to the OCU.
