The citizens of our country, who are believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the largest religious organization, are ready to protect it from forced renaming, said the Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, at a briefing during the round table "Three years of attempts to forcibly rename the Ukrainian Orthodox Church: consequences, assessments, comments" at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, according to the "1Kozak" YouTube channel.

He believes that attempts to impose a different name on the UOC, which does not exist in any documents, indicate that the anti-church law is manipulative and propagandistic. “We are the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, we have many faithful, and we are citizens of our country. And we will defend our Church and its name to the end,” said Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich.

As reported, there are attempts to apply the law on renaming the UOC artificially, said the head of the UOC Legal Department.
