LA CRESCENTA, CA — The Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion (OCAMPR) has announced its 2025 Fall Conference, set for October 2–4 at the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, Illinois. This year’s theme is “The Passions: The Theology & Science of Addictions and Compulsions.”
A new feature of the conference will be a clergy-focused workshop titled “Trauma and the Passions: A Workshop for Confessors.” Designed for both experienced confessors and clergy new to pastoral ministry, the session will address trauma as a pressing concern in parish life and the confessional.

The workshop will be led by Fr. Sean Levine, OCAMPR’s Religion Chairman, a parish priest and U.S. Army Chaplain with more than 20 years of service. Drawing from both field experience and academic training, he will guide clergy through an interdisciplinary discussion on trauma and pastoral care.
