National Antiochian Orthodox Choir to Perform at Carnegie Hall
SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 — The Antiochian Orthodox Department of Sacred Music, led by Chairwoman Mareena Boosamra Ball, has announced auditions for the National Antiochian Orthodox Choir of North America.
Singers can apply for the Byzantine Choir, 4-part Choral Choir, or both by submitting recordings by this Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Audition details are available online.
The choir will perform Orthodox hymns at the Winter Sacred Music Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, on February 7, 2026, and at Carnegie Hall in New York City on June 6, 2026, in a historic debut.
Members will cover their own expenses, with arrangements in New York facilitated by MidAmerica Productions, including lodging and a post-concert harbor cruise.
The Department is seeking donations to offset costs. This initiative reflects the mission of musical excellence in worship, uniting skilled singers to glorify God through ecclesiastical music.
