WASHINGTON, DC — Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was welcomed at a reception in the nation's capital hosted by the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Foundation and Archon John S. Koudounis. The event united political figures, church leaders, and supporters of the Greek Orthodox faith, with the Patriarch joined by Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and members of the Holy Eparchial Synod.

Kimberly Guilfoyle, the television host-turned-U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, shared her enthusiasm on social media, stating,

It is a profound honor to welcome His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Washington, D.C. His spiritual leadership inspires hundreds of millions around the world, and his presence here reaffirms the unbreakable bonds between the United States, Greece, and the global Orthodox Christian community. As U.S. Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, I look forward to working closely with His All-Holiness to advance faith, religious freedom, and friendship for generations.

Guilfoyle emphasized her commitment to deepening U.S.-Greece ties and promoting religious freedom alongside the Patriarch.
