Sinai’s New Archbishop Thankful for Greek Support

SINAI — This afternoon, Archbishop Symeon, newly elected Archbishop of Sinai, Pharan, and Raitho, and Abbot of Saint Catherine’s Monastery on Mount Sinai, visited Abp. Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece.
Abp. Ieronymos welcomed him warmly, wishing him success in overcoming challenges. In response, Abp. Symeon expressed gratitude to Ieronymos and the Church of Greece for their steadfast support.
Ieronymos described the meeting as a joyful occasion, noting they discussed history and current affairs. He prayed for Symeon’s strength to foster a spiritual environment at the monastery and success in his missionary work.
Symeon thanked the Church of Greece for their spiritual and material support, particularly during recent challenges, calling them a reliable ally. He emphasized that the blessings and encouragement from the Church of Greece provide hope and assurance that God will protect the monastery and its brotherhood from difficulties.
