OCT. 22, 2025 — Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM) has announced that it is now included in the "Encounter" prayer app by Faithtree Resources, which recently had a new version launched.

"Not only can you read or listen to an audio recording of the 'Prayer for Prisoners,' but we will also be regularly updating the intercessions listed under OCPM so you can be praying for our brothers and sisters in prison by name week after week," OCPM said. "We thank God for this partnership and invite you all to pray with us!"

The Encounter app offers daily prayers, Scripture, Psalms, and Lives of the Saints in both audio and text form. The newly designed edition of the app helps in making various prayers easier to access and provides various tools to grow in faith and draw closer to God.

There is both a free and premium version of the app. More information can be found here.

Previously, UOJ reported that OCPM had launched a learning center to equip churches for prison ministry.
