In Ivano-Frankivsk, bailiffs evicted the community from the Transfiguration church of the UOC, located at 6 and 6Б Chernovola St., by decision of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, writes the Pravda Tvoyego Goroda (Truth of Your City – Trans) publication.

On February 7, the Ivano-Frankivsk journalist and social activist Vitaliy Chernenky reported that representatives of the executive service had arrived at the church and began evicting parishioners. Bailiffs sealed a church store in front of several dozen people. For some reason, a fire engine drove up to the building.

“Open the church store so that we don’t break the locks, we are ready to deliver all your things to the address,” unidentified persons suggest in the video, probably bailiffs or officials.

On February 3, on the air of the Western Pole radio, the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, said that at the end of 2021, the authorities had won all court instances to terminate the lease of premises. Since the believers refused to leave the building, officials turned to the executive service for help. The eviction process is overseen by the city's Department for Education, which should receive premises to accommodate a kindergarten.

“Now we have the first stage, when there is a decision of the Supreme Court and the executive service is working accordingly. If this process is completed, the next step will be work on the project documentation for the kindergarten,” said Igor Maksimchuk, Director of the Department for Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.

Litigation around the temple lasted for more than one year despite the fact that the UN blocked the decision to evict the UOC church in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote the Ivano-Frankivsk mayor announced victory over the UOC community.
