Another bill to ban the UOC submitted to the Rada

The Verkhovna Rada registered another draft law No. 7213 on the prohibition of the UOC dated March 26, 2022, on amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations”.

The amendments relate to the prohibition of the activities of religious organizations that are part of the structure of a religious organization (association), the leading center (administration) of which is located outside Ukraine in a state that is recognized by law as having carried out military aggression against Ukraine and / or temporarily occupied part of the territory of Ukraine.

The corresponding notice was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The initiators of the bill are people's deputies from the party "Holos" and "Servant of the People" – Inna Sovsun, Natalia Pipa, Georgy Mazurashu, Roman Lozinsky, Solomiya Borovska, Kira Rudik and Yaroslav Yurchishin.

The report says that the document was received on March 26, 2022 and “submitted for consideration by the leadership” of the Verkhovna Rada.
